HI EVERYONE! MY NAME İS İLKER!!! While the way we experience the world is becoming increasingly digital, standard map applications often provide generic solutions designed for ‘everyone.’ My goal is to create a fully personal and interactive world map that is shaped by my own interests, memories, and specific needs.

The foundation of this project is OpenStreetMap (OSM), which champions the idea that mapping should not be a corporate monopoly, but a collaborative effort of a global community. Unlike services with restrictive boundaries like Google Maps, OSM allows me to freely shape the map data, add markers that hold personal significance—such as secret routes, favorite spots, and personal notations—and customize the design to match my own aesthetic vision

Through this project, I aim to demonstrate how mapping can evolve from a static process into a tool for personalized discovery and data management. By crafting my own interactive map, I am leaving my mark in the digital realm and redefining what it means to truly own my data…
